Looking for Family-Friendly Entertainment in NYC? LMAO Off-Broadway can be an Option!

Whether you are a New Yorker or not, it is beyond doubt that when you get to visit New York City, one of the best features the city has is the theatre performances. While you can always opt to see shows on Broadway, there are also loads of off-Broadway shows that offer family-friendly enjoyment, includes LMAO. LMAO is an Off-Broadway, interactive musical parody that presents energetic and hilarious talents, mixed with original songs and sketch parodies of today’s hot news and trends which is suitable for the whole family (ages 6 and up). After its first preview on November 25th, 2009, LMAO Off-Broadway has been running for five days a week, and now running at the newly renovated 200-seaters Midtown Theater in Times Square.

The shows run from Thursday to Mondays at 8:15, except on Saturdays (3 & 8:15) and Sundays (4 & 8). The shows’ topics varied daily so you can watch the show for, let’s say, twice a week and you will be presented new topics each time you buy the ticket and watch. The wit ranged from slapstick-funny to hilarious wordplay and the skit can be derived from box office movies like Twilight, Harry Potter, Dr Seuss, to TV show take-offs of Dexter, ICarly, Glee, American Idol, Family Guy, and Jersey Shore, among others. There are also satires about airport security, toilet seats, to Charlie Sheen, Tiger Woods, Barbie dolls, and many more parodies on diverse topics created right on the spot. So it is a good entertainment option for you who live or stay in NYC.
